Orangeburg Country Club is looking for a Food & Beverage Floor Supervisor to train and supervise all dining room, banquet and bar employees. This position will be responsible for ensuring member and guest satisfaction through training, personal supervision and adherence to staffing guidelines for all food and beverage service staff. Floor Supervisors must represent and uphold Orangeburg Country Club to its highest possible standards to all members, guests and the community.

Principle Duties:

  • Greet members and guests
  • Check on tables accordingly during the duration of member and guest meals
  • Assist with customer service needs
  • Personally serve food and beverages as necessary
  • Provide strong leadership while present on the floor
  • Provide hands on training for proper serving techniques and dining etiquette
  • Supervise service staff employees during their shift, coaching employees as needed
  • Ensure that all service staff are in their designated areas, ready and available to provide excellent dining experiences from the moment members and guests enter until they leave
  • Oversee all aspects of cleaning and organizing server activity areas and coolers, ensuring all areas are fully stocked and ready for service
  • Make sure that all tables have been polished and meet visual appearance guidelines. (Dining room and bar)
  • Ensure side work and set-up for the next day is completed
  • Dismiss staff early when business is slow
  • Attend designated staff meetings and educational programs as necessary
  • Attend all pre-shift meetings and pre-event meetings
  • Respond accordingly to unique issues or situations that arise during the shift
  • Ensure that all staff has arrived for their shifts at their correct scheduled times (refer to Schedulefly)
  • Check staff out at the end of their shifts, verifying that end of shift reports correspond with cash and charges included in their envelope. Sign off on employee drop envelopes

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to work 35-40 hours a week with occasional overtime
  • Must be able to learn and train employees on the POS system
  • Must be a team player who can work respectfully and professionally with all staff
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with employees while training and supervising
